Explore The Fig Tree

We want to establish an hospitable coffee-lounge environment above and beyond anything else in the area; a gathering place people of all ages will want to return to.
We want to give people an environment that takes its coffee, art, and music seriously, and one that sees a unique value in each and every person that walks through the door.
We want to help establish Old Roseville as a destination location that will attract people from all around, following the vision the City of Roseville has for the Vernon Street corridor.
We want to give back to the community by selling locally made products, and by using our profits to financially support local organizations that help others.
Our brand will be aggressively and creatively promoted, embodying a no-compromise standard of quality and hospitality.
We look forward to serving you!

Fr. Joshua Lickter - chief bean

Fr. Joshua Lickter has over 11 years’ formal ministry experience, 25 years’ experience in various aspects of the music world, and currently serves the community as an Anglican Priest. He and his wife Rachel started a community coffeehouse, art gallery, and small music venue in Philadelphia called The Mad Donkey in 2003. Rachel has a background in accounting, and majored in Art and Business at Penn State University. After moving to Roseville in 2005, they both managed the Underground, an all ages music venue and coffee shop run by Valley Springs Presbyterian Church. For five years, the Underground offered Roseville a safe place for people of all ages and backgrounds to perform and enjoy live music. In preparing to launch the Fig Tree, they have gathered together a team of like minded individuals with vast experience in the commercial real estate, hospitality, coffee, art, and music worlds.
